My name is Adam Kickbush. I have lived in St George, UT for about 2 1/2 years now. I am originally from Iowa though, moved here in 2012 to open Complete Nutrition and have loved it here ever since. Before I moved from Iowa I went to school at Iowa State University majoring in Aerospace Engineering. I still have a passion for engineering but health & fitness has been my main focus for most of the past 6 years. As a matter of fact, it is what brought me to St George!
I started working out in 2008 and really like most of us, started blind. I had great beginners gains and was hooked ever since. Really not until these past 2 years did things get cranked up a notch. Learning how to feed your body the right macro and micronutrients are a game changer in your results. Whether it is muscles gain or fat loss you can’t out train a terrible diet.
Being physically active has always played a part in my life, after getting started in training in a more dedicated fashion I started to dabble in MMA and stepped into the cage 3 times at light heavy weight (205 lb) and won all three fights. My last fight though I tore my labrum in my right shoulder. Took almost a year and a half to fully recover from that injury but that is what really pushed me into the bodybuilding scene. Everything just kinda fell into place and has put me where I am now. I have competed 3 times in the past 2 years placing 1st, 6th and 12th in my most recent. The amount I have learned about diet, nutrition and my own body’s response has been the biggest thing I have taken away from it. Utilizing all the tools I have learned I am able to pass that knowledge to others. Competing is a blast (and at times stressful too) but helping others reach their goals, whether it is competing or just losing weight for a special event, is 10x more rewarding!
